Course Overview

Learn the concepts, technologies, components and protocols inherent in today's local area networking environments. See how computers are connected together to form peer-to-peer and server-based networks. Discover the functionality and uses of a router, bridge, switch, hub and repeater. The two most commonly used network operating systems today, Microsoft's NT and Novell's NetWare, are introduced in this course. VLANs and the various forms of Ethernet technology, such as Fast Ethernet, are also explained.
Who Should Attend

This course is designed for individuals who do not have a solid understanding of local area networking technology or would like a more comprehensive understanding of LAN protocols, configurations and practices.
