Web-Based Networking Series Structure
Courses are bundled into levels to provide you with a learning map leading to optional NACSE (National Association of Communication Systems Engineers) and/or CompTIA (Computing Technology Industry Association) certification. Partners not participating in the certification programs may take any of the web-based courses in the order of their choice.
Level 1 - ISPWorld Basic Networking Series & NACSE Associate Network Specialist Certification
- Introduction to Networking
- Local Area Networking (LAN)
- Wide Area Networking (WAN)
- TCP/IP and Networking Architectures
Successful completion of Level 1 courseware offers students combined achievement.
Upon receiving a 70% or better on the Level 1 assessment exam (administered after completing all four Level 1 modules), the student will receive two certificates:
- Certificate of completion of the ISPWorld Basic Networking Series
- Certificate of ISPWorld/NACSE Associate Network Specialist Certification.
The NACSE exam and membership benefits are included in the cost of the courseware.
Level 2 - ISPWorld Advanced Networking Series*
- Introduction to Internet Technologies
- Internetworking
- Process and Protocols
- Network Analysis and Design
*(pre-requisite is Level 1 courseware or test-out)
Successful completion of Level 2 courseware offers students combined achievement.
Upon receiving a 70% or better on the Level 2 assessment exam (administered after completing all four Level 1 modules), the student will receive two certificates:
- Certificate of completion of the ISPWorld Advanced Networking Series
- Certificate of ISPWorld/NACSE Senior Network Specialist Certification.
The NACSE exam and membership benefits are included in the cost of the courseware.
Optional CompTIA Certification
The above courseware will also prepare students to sit for the CompTIA exam. The CompTIA certification exam and membership are separate costs and are incurred by the student (http://www.comptia.com/).
Cost for Web-based Educational Series
Your cost is $995.00 per level or four-modules. This includes all of the following:
- Self-paced instruction through student workbooks
- CD-ROMs
- Online Education
- Web-based support
- NACSE certification (optional) and membership*.

If you have the required skills and knowledge of the qualification topics, you may elect to test-out of the Level assessment(s) through an online test at no cost. After successful completion of the Level assessment(s), you will receive a certificate of completion for each ISPWorld Networking Series level.
Test-Out to include NACSE Certification
If you would like your test-out to include NACSE certification, there is a cost based on the amount that NACSE charges for the exam and included membership. Costs for NACSE certification levels are outlined below:
- NACSE Associate Network Specialist - $145 (includes exam, membership, and certificate of completion)
- NACSE Senior Network Specialist - $105 (includes exam and certificate of completion)
